Wir leben in einer Zeit sich überlagernder und gleichzeitig geschehender Katastrophen, seien es Naturkatastrophen, Pandemien oder sich häufende Anschläge. Das fordert und überfordert Betroffene und Hilfskräfte sowie die Notfallseelsorge und die Krisenintervention und nötigt, sowohl die Grundlagen und Organisationsformen der eigenen Arbeit neu zu reflektieren als auch die Erfahrungen früherer Zeiten in den Blick zu nehmen und sich mit neuen Impulsen ("Traumics") auseinanderzusetzen. Der Band versammelt herausragende Vorträge des Bundeskongresses Notfallseelsorge (Mai 2023) und des Symposions »Mehr als Worte« (Oktober 2021). [The New Normal. Living and Dealing with Disasters] We live in a time of overlapping and simultaneously occurring disasters, be they natural disasters, pandemics or increasing numbers of attacks. This challenges and overwhelms those affected as well as aid workers, emergency pastoral care and crisis intervention and requires a new reflection on the foundations and organizational forms work as well as taking a look at the experiences of earlier times and dealing with new impulses (»Traumics«). This volume brings together outstanding presentations from the Federal Congress on Emergency Pastoral Care (May 2023) and the symposium »More than Words« (October 2021).
