Description
A cumulative traffic-jam picture book with bold pictures and a novelty element. A big red bus is rolling along the road when it gets stuck in a hole. One by one, a variety of vehicles come along and have to stop behind the bus: a roller with a little tipper truck, a van, a car, a motorbike. "Help!" everyone cries. Then, with a honk honk, along comes a tractor to heave the bus out of the hole. Now all the vehicles can go again. And what about the hole? The tipper truck fills it up and the roller flattens it. Now, it's all gone. Judy Hindley is the author of "A Piece of String is a Wonderful Thing", "The Wheeling and Whirling Around Book" (both illustrated by Margaret Chamberlain), "Into the Jungle", "One by One", "Big and Little", "Crazy ABC" and "Isn't It Time?"
