Description
This book helps the researchers and industrialist working on multi-level inverters for renewable sources. In this Book, a Solar and Battery interconnected system feeding a micro grid with Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) along with Reduced Switch Seven Level Cascaded Inverter (RSCI) and Repetitive Controller (RC) is proposed. Generally, Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) plays a major role in power systems and it is advised to be low for yielding better results. The proposed topology controls active and reactive power and ensures THD reduction to attain the standard IEEE - 1547 notions. An Incremental Conductance (IC) method is used to extract optimum power from the solar source in order to achieve Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT). To control battery energy, repetitive control method is used for powering up and discharging as a backup for solar source for good power management. An LCL filter is chooses to reduce the harmonic distortions in the grid side currents for further improvement of power quality.
