Language and Cognition

Among the developments in the philosophy of language has been the growing alliance of the field with the philosophy of mind, especially with those aspects of it closely concerned with the content and foundations of cognitive science, and the closer links between philosophy and theoretical linguistics, including the study of historically given natural languages. This reader is devoted to various aspects of these developments. It combines articles in philosophy, linguistics, and psycholinguistics with articles newly commissioned for the volume, and places these in context through overview essays and editorial introductions.
