Nova and her new friend Ali decide to investigate and soon they discover secrets beyond the forbidden door, where magic transports them to a land of adventure and mystery. As King Pickle and Queen Jam Tart battle each other, Nova and Ali realise they must help bring an end to the ongoing war.
Recruiting the help of some magical creatures, they also discover that this mysterious land has also given them special powers. Can they defeat the hideous Queen Jam Tart? Should they trust the Grey Witch? And will they ever make it back to school?
