Charlie is an average, 8-year-old boy with good grades and manners to match. Well-behaved and a bit of a bookworm, Charlie is shy but comes out of his shell in the company of his closest friends.

On a trip to Whipwhip Zoo with his best pals Bernie and Max, Charlie's mischievous cousin Henry lands him in a spot of trouble. After an animal encounter with a difference, Charlie discovers he's no longer an ordinary boy, but one with extraordinary superpowers.
