Jenny Hendy has an honours degree in botany and worked for 5 years on the staff of Which? Gardening magazine, as well as running a garden consultancy business for the past 20 years. She has published 20 books as sole author or as co-author and many more as contributor or consultant, and won Best Practical Gardening Book 2010 for Kid's First Gardening Book. She has also written numerous articles for magazines such as Gardens Illustrated, RHS The Garden, Good Housekeeping and for national and international publications. Jenny has appeared on national BBC radio, along with 10 TV appearances. She also co-runs children's gardening workshops, teaches adult amateur gardeners, and has been speaking on gardening for the whole of her freelance career.
