Description
An early morning journey through the eyes of the animals who hunt, scavenge, play, dig and build while most people are tucked up in bed.
Beginning just as the human world is about to wake up for the day, A Walk at Dawn takes the reader through nature. As the sun rises, the birds' dawn chorus rings out and an otter emerges from its holt. Up in the moorland, a family of deer snacks on grass shoots while hairy footed bees descend on the flowers. Out at sea, blue sharks come to the surface to feed.
With fact boxes on every page and tips on how we can all help nocturnal animals, little ones will discover a whole world that's taking place in the dawn.

Persons
Alice Hemming (Author)
Alice has never been at a loss for ideas. A childhood playing make-believe and working her way through the shelves of the local library helped fuel her imagination. She began her working life as a librarian and a web content editor, while all the time attending various part-time classes, in sculpture, illustration and writing. Alice lives in Hertfordshire, UK with her husband and two children. When she's not visiting schools, she works in a writing shed at the top of her garden, where she can immerse herself in the world of her stories.
Elin Manon (Illustrator)
Elin Manon is an illustrator from Wales now based in Perth, Scotland, UK, after graduating from Falmouth University and living in Cornwall for 6 years. Her work is inspired by the natural world, ecology, folklore and anthropology. A passion for storytelling and the celebration and protection of our natural world has been a constant drive within her creative process. Through her work Elin hopes to deepen our connection to the environment, reflecting stories of the landscape in a world that is often focused on the material.
