Washington Mystics

The Washington Mystics was founded in 1998, a year after the WNBA was formed. Since this time, they have gone all the way from last place in their first season to winning the championship in 2019. This team, based in the U.S. capital, features some of the best players in the sport of basketball today--including Ariel Atkins and Shakira Austin. The Mystics hope to bring the title back to the capital city again in the future.
