Reviews / Votes
This is a clear, accessible and useful introduction to major issues and theories in world politics - an up-to-date and engaging guide through the latest debates and developments in the study of the world around us. -- Carl Death This is an excellent textbook that offers a comprehensive and accessible discussion of contemporary IR theory and global issues. It should prove to be an invaluable resource to both students and teachers of IR. -- Imad El-Anis Rich in themes, comprehensive in scope, and with a modern lay-out, this text represents a very useful tool for students interested in understanding the complex realities of world politics. -- Eugenio Lilli World Politics provides comprehensive yet accessible coverage of the leading forces and issues in contemporary international politics and international relations. It sensitively balances the twin demands of providing theory and practical case studies whilst ranging across historical context, globalisation, international and intergovernmental organisations, and exploring future trends. Updated and written in a lively style by subject-specific experts of long-standing, it will no doubt continue to be a key core text on undergraduate courses in International Relations, Diplomacy, International Development, Peace and Conflict Studies and Politics. -- Peter J.
