The authors are firm believers that schoolteachers are integral to the positive development of youth all around the world. Schoolteachers are trusted and charged with nurturing the academic, social, and emotional skills necessary for success in an ever-shrinking highly technical 21st century global community. In many cultures around the world, teachers are held in high esteem. Sadly, that is not the case everywhere. This book is an attempt to acknowledge the valuable contributions of schoolteachers, recognize their numerous challenges, highlight their commitment, and remind societies of the important role that teachers play in assisting parents and caregivers with shaping the hearts and minds of their children.
