Description
This is a revised and updated version of the foundation course "Maths Matters" for lower ability students. It is designed to take into account the demands of the National Curriculum at Stage 4 and is particularly aimed at those students likely to obtain the lower GCSE grades, or those not taking GCSE. The two student's books contain "real-world" problems for which students need to find practical solutions, using their mathematical knowledge. There is one topic per double-page spread. The books also include assignments, calculator work and suggestions for working with a friend. The reading level has been kept in such a way that it encourages pupils to deal confidently with the material.
