Description
This is a basic guide to researching, writing and documentation for term papers which should be particularly useful for high school and college students. This text explains how to use: the Internet for subject searches, finding the most useful sites for popular topics and printing out hard copies (attention is also paid to browsing the Web and tapping into library resources); CD-ROMs for searching indexes, databases, full-text sources (such as electronic encyclopaedias) and learning about the most helpful CD-ROMs that are generally available; and online services such as America Online, Compuserve and Prodigy efficiently and economically to find information. Tips on accepted note-taking methods are given and guidance is offered for using quotations and giving appropriate credit. The book concludes with two model research papers.
