Description
Dennis Harding was asked by his wife Betty to write this book after he had written his autobiography (From the Shadow of Poverty). He agreed, little knowing that she had but a few years to live. Unfortunately she died before the book was finished. In the last few days of her life Betty made Dennis promise to have the poems published, the collection contains a moving tribute to her.

Dennis Harding was born in Birmingham in 1928, the ninth of ten children. He still lives in the city today. He left school at 14 and served in the army before getting married and adopting a son. His wife died of cancer when their son was just 18 months old. He married again, gaining a stepson and later had a third son by his second wife.
