"Architecture for Dogs" is an architectural project featuring renowned architects from around the world, primarily Japan, examining the close bond between dogs and humans at the level of design. Since its launch in Miami in 2012, the project has toured cities worldwide, expanding each time with the participation of local architects. Dogs are said to have descended from wolves. Humans have altered nature, shaping their environments according to their own standards. The projects recorded in "Architecture for Dogs" playfully contemplate the potential of architecture through observing our long-time companions, reimagining our environment at their scale. A testimony to the universality of the dog, the book provides blueprints and detailed manuals for each piece, which readers are invited to recreate, making the project a global event.
