California surfer dude Dr. Dan Prince is putting in two years in a small Iowa town to repay loans from special program that paid for medical school. Amy Crane is a small-town Iowa pharmacist. When Amy gets beaned at her cousin's wedding by the bridal bouquet, Dr. Prince tends to her wounds and claims the first dance. Amy's young niece has just wished upon a falling star that her favorite aunt would find a handsome prince charming, and he arrives in the guise of Dr. Dan Prince.
