Oren Hammerquist, originally from the Seattle area, recently completed his Master's degree in English and Creative Writing with Southern New Hampshire University. He also holds a BA in Criminal Justice from AMU and an AA in Liberal Arts from Pierce College. He hopes that his diverse background, including time in the US Army, will contribute to complex plots in all his works. Oren is also married with four children, and at the time of this book, was living in Germany--though only time will tell where he ends up.
"Hindsights" started as a story entitled "The Bitter Truth." After advice from his editor on a failed short-story compilation, Oren expanded the 3,000-word story into this novel of approximately 80,000 words. Though a work of science fiction, he hopes his novel is broad enough in its appeal to reach the "cross-genre" category. A decidedly post-modern thread runs through this title, drawing on the real world to drive this speculative fiction.
