Effective Working Relations

The new emphasis in business on human resource management and the "people aspect" of organizing has created the need for a text which can combine both theory and practice. The authors of this book, three psychologists with experience in management teaching and consulting, aim to enable managers to focus on human relations skill-building with directly relevant classroom experiences. This equilibrium between theory and practice, particularly in the area of applying psychological insights to management functioning, allows the reader to form a balanced opinion of how best to improve their own human relations management. The chapters deal progressively with theory and application, enabling the reader to apply what he has learnt. While appropriate for the MBA student, it is also valuable for advanced level undergraduates and practising managers, particularly in the human resource function.
