Gutierrez has a degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University and currently serves on its Chemical Engineering advisory board. Mr Gutierrez is a recognized leader in the Global PET Recycling Industry, holding several U.S. and Foreign patents related to the field of plastics and surface chemicals. Since 1996, he has guided the recycling of PET in the bottle to bottle program, and has been successful in the promotion of the URRC technology to build production facilities in the USA, Europe, Mexico, and The Philippines. Carlos Gutierrez has over 40 years experience in the fields of corporate management, business finance and operations from initial business conception, forming strategic alliances and successful implementation with particular emphasis in the chemical synthesis, and PET recovery operations.
