Jason Gurley has worked as a creative director, an art director, a copywriter and a book cover designer. He lives with his family in Scappoose, Oregon. In 2014 he self-published his adult novel, Eleanor, which was later bought by Crown Publishing and has since been translated into German, Turkish, and Portuguese. Awake in the World is his first YA novel.
