Kathy Gunst is the author of 14 cookbooks, including four co-authored books with Chronicle. Her cookbooks and journalism work have received several IACP nominations. Her radio work as the 'Resident Chef' for NPR's award-winning public radio show Here and Now has been nominated for both IACP and James Beard Award for Best Audio. She writes for many publications, including The New York Times; Washington Post; Newsweek; Eating Well; Yankee; Modern Farmer; Better Homes and Gardens; O, the Oprah Magazine; Down East; and many more. She does cooking classes and food writing seminars and teaches journalists how to report on food and food issues for radio. She is part of Michelle Obama's 'Let's Move' initiative and teaches cooking and gardening with elementary school children in her small town in southern Maine.
