Description
The renowned Harvard biologist E.O. Wilson recognised the importance of solving our 'good and evil'-stricken human condition when he wrote that "There is no grail more elusive or precious in the life of the mind than the key to understanding the human condition". And we can understand why that "precious" "grail" has been so "elusive" when we consider how suicidally depressing trying to confront and think truthfully about the issue of our 'good and evil'-afflicted, soul-corrupted human condition has been. As the great Russian philosopher Nikolai Berdyaev wrote, "Knowledge requires great daring. It means victory over ancient, primeval terror...¿Particularly bitter is moral knowledge, the knowledge of good and evil. But the bitterness is due to the fallen state of the world...¿There is a deadly pain in the very distinction of good and evil, of the valuable and the worthless."
It is entirely understandable therefore that virtually everyone has been living in an extremely evasive, superficial and artificial state of determined avoidance of the "bitter" "ancient, primeval terror" of the issue of our "fallen", seemingly "evil" and "worthless", soul-destroyed "human condition".
It follows then that to find the redeeming, human-race-saving "knowledge", "understanding" of our corrupted "human condition" required some "great daring" by someone able to defy all the denial and confront and think sufficiently truthfully about our corrupted condition to solve it. You can't find the truth with lies!
Well, what is described in this amazing booklet is a snapshot of how the Australian biologist Jeremy Griffith, with the help of his great friend Steve van Hemert, managed to sufficiently defy all that dishonest denial going on in the world to solve the human condition and save the human race!
This bold spirit of defiance of all the dishonest denial that is going on everywhere lies at the very heart of Australia's convict-colonised character-which Jeremy fully explains in his bestselling book A Species In Denial in the section 'Australia's role in the world', and also in his main book FREEDOM in the chapter titled 'The pathway of the sun'. So it makes complete sense that it is in Australia that the 'victory' of the finding of the human-race-saving 'understanding' of the 'human condition' has occurred.
