Description
This text offers a geographic and regional study of venture capitalism. Although the importance of this type of capitalism in creating and nurturing small firms has long been recognized, it does not have a uniform global character. To illustrate this, the author examines the experience of the USA, Canada, the UK and for the first time includes a discussion of New Zealand and South East Asia. Drawing on new data, the study offers a geographic comparison which displays the diverse forms of venture capital markets, from the well established to the newly emerging to the rapidly disappearing.
