Description
It's the middle of the night on Christmas Eve, and nothing is stopping this woman from delivering some warm, fresh-baked cookies to her future husband, just back from a cattle drive. Riding through the streets of a sleepy town, she could see her breath and feel the wet snowflakes landing gently on her face. After parking her horse next to his, she climbs the stairs of the two story building where he lives to leave a small basket. On the way home, she envisions the surprised look on his face, as he opens the door to see the gift she left.
Add this recipe to your cookie collection, and say "Merry Christmas" to the ones you love-even if they're not home from a cattle drive!

Person
Jeannine Green was born and raised in East Springfield, Massachusetts. She was inspired to write children's stories from reading many of Dr. Seus' books. Her stories include sweet, fun, and sometimes action- packed situations with clever characters. She is the mother of a young adult son, and has been a rider in horse shows, a cosmetologist, a teacher, a nurse, a portrait artist and now a writer. She currently lives in sunny Florida with the rest of her family, a long-haired dachshund named Lex, and a chubby amphibian named Toad who sits outside at night, watching the neighborhood!
