Description
Each volume in this series of poetry anthologies contains poems selected to explore a different theme through verse and includes brief biographies of the poets. This anthology comprises poems dealing with subjects that come under the broad heading of "science", with diverse topics such as astronomy, day-dreaming, chemistry lessons and the world of the unborn child. Although science and poetry are often considered to be poles apart, this collection aims to draw them together by regarding the scientific world with a sense of wonder and with a close poetic observation. It includes comic poems, well-known ones and some written by children themselves. They have been selected by Robert Hull, author of "The Language Gap - How Classroom Dialogue Fails" and "Behind the Poem - A Teacher's View of Children Writing".
