Description
Each volume in this series of poetry anthologies contains poems selected to explore a different theme through verse and includes brief biographies of the poets. This anthology centres on poems broadly relating to green issues, from the tale of a toad that lives in a drain to the fate of the beluga whales washed up on the shore, and explores some of the problems facing the environment. The selection draws on poems from all over the world, some well-known, some new and some by children themselves. Each poem is illustated by a line drawing and is accompanied by a colour photograph. The series is intended to be of use to teachers of creative writing and for use in cross-curricular activities.
