She began writing poetry and short stories when her own children were young and has since studied Children's Literature, achieved BA (hons) Literature, first class, through the Open University and MA Professional Writing at Falmouth University. She is currently studying Makaton sign-language and is a volunteer with Special Olympics Cornwall. Grandma Paint Pot's writing is inspired by nature and nurture.
