Description
In this highly anticipated follow-up to his first title, 'Tank Art', military artist and veteran soldier of the Royal Tank Regiment Mick Graham presents a broad selection of artwork from his acclaimed collection. Stepping out of his Chieftain turret, these paintings span the decades since the introduction of mechanised transport and armoured vehicles in the military. From the Mk IV of the First World War and the formidable Tiger and the relentless T-34, legendary titans of the Second World War, to vehicles being currently used in the war in Ukraine, the now legendary British Challenger 2, the German Leopard and the American Abrams, the paintings in this book showcase the wide range of vehicles at the disposal of the military. In addition, the unsung workhorses such as the Bedford MK and the Scammell of the Cold War are not neglected.
Noted for his meticulous attention to detail, Mick Graham's depictions of military vehicles are highly sought after by veterans, serving soldiers, museums and regiments. This fascinating array of paintings documents the evolution of mechanised transport and armoured warfare and will appeal to all those with an interest in this aspect of military history and an appreciation of the work of this much-praised artist.

Mick has had a lifelong enthusiasm for military vehicles, especially main battle tanks. He joined the 4th Royal Tank Regiment in 1979, eventually becoming a gunnery instructor on Chieftain. On leaving the army in 1993, he became a forklift instructor for industrial machines. He began painting in earnest and, in 2021, took a leap of faith and pursued art full-time. His paintings are now highly sought after by museums, businesses and private individuals.
