A Crazy Cozy Murder Mystery sends a Snarky Sleuth diving into Deadly Drama, Bitter Betrayals, and Fatal Flirtation

"Ms. West, are you confessing you had more than one motive to kill Ms. Diaz?"
I wasn't very good at this. Jotted down my first notes on the yellow notepad. About Elizabeth. About Detective Blue's mustache. Then drew flowers with big petals. I like drawing flowers. Though I was about as good at drawing flowers as I was at feigning innocence.
"Ms. West, what are you writing down?"
"You can call me Athena." (Was I flirting with him? I was. I'm the type of person that believes you can meet your soul mate at anytime, anywhere. Why eliminate the possibility of true love just because the circumstances were not ideal or the timing was bad?)
"Ms. West."
(The timing of meeting Detective Blue definitely wasn't great... and the circumstances probably couldn't be worse.)
"Did you kill Elizabeth Diaz?"
"I mean... sorta?"

b.t. gottfred grew up witnessing his mother read every free moment she had from her career and kids. Often a mystery book. Usually Agatha Christie. While he never had to work to get her attention quite like Athena worked to get Nancy West's, his mother's passion for words both spoken and written inspired his life's eclectic literary path. Gottfred is a novelist, screenwriter, producer, director, and playwright who has penned critically-acclaimed novels that explore themes such as gender, sexuality, and human relationships. Starred reviews from Kirkus Reviews, Booklist, Publishers Weekly, and VOYA, Noted reviewers have called his books "swoon inducing and heartbreaking" (School Library Journal), "hilarious and deeply honest" (Publishers Weekly) and "plainly a talent to watch" (Kirkus). His work has been selected as one of BookRiot's Best of the Decade, Audible's Best of the Year, and has also been featured in the New York Times, Bustle, 60 Minutes, and Salon. His plays have been produced around the country, his films have been shown around the world. In his last novel, THE NEXT GOD, he explores the very personal and universal search for spiritual purpose through the eyes of a college sophomore traveling to Indiana to see if a man claiming to be a god actually is one.
