John Gosling studied violin making, restoration and repair at Newark School of Violin Making. He then started Chapel Violins workshop in Newark and soon after opened his own school there, offering a variety of repair and restoration courses, training students to a professional level. Marcus Corrie studied astrophysics at Leicester University and then went into the computer gaming industry. After studying violin making in his spare time, he decided to change career, took a full-time course at the Newark School and in 2010 joined Chapel Violins, where he works in the workshop.
