Automatic Control, World Congress 1993

The 12th IFAC World Congress encompassed all aspects of control and ranged from emerging theoretical results to new usage areas. Attended by both theoreticians and practitioners, the Congress covered a diverse range of applications, including biotechnology, biomedicine, intelligent greenhouses; mining, minerals and metal processing; aerospace; automobiles; chemical processes; robotics; agriculture and economic systems. It is apparent that when appropriately applied, control engineering can make significant differences to the profitability of many industries, particularly the manufacturing industry. Approximately 1000 papers in control theory and its applications are contained in this five volume set presenting both the current status and also providing indications of future trends in the field.
