Wheat Production and Utilization

Wheat science has progressed significantly since the publication of the first edition of Wheat Production and Utilization. Global circumstances have also changed; strengthening issues are environmental concerns, climate change, pressures on farming resources, food insecurity and grain market volatility. Wheat farming and grain production are central to many of the changing demands on future food supply. This book will explain the basis of wheat grain quality requirements for different world markets and relate these to methods of production. A 'food and processing chain' approach will be adopted to relate the production system to the end-user. In doing so, the environmental influences of production practices around the world will be explored.
