Diagnostic and Operative Gynecologic Laparoscopy

This text covers contemporary diagnostic and therapeutic uses of the laparoscope for the gynaecologist in training and in practice, including indications, contra-indications, procedures, complications and instruments. The book is organized into five sections. The first serves as an introduction to laparoscopy, - its history, equipment and energy sources. The next section covers the principles of gynaecologic laparoscopy, indications and contra-indications for both diagnostic and operative procedures. Section Three covers diagnostic laparoscopy in infertility, pelvic pain, endometriosis and neoplasia. Section Four covers the operative uses of laparoscopy and the last section is an overview of the current state-of-the-art with discussions of issues affecting the future of laparoscopy.
