Description
Every living thing has special traits that help it survive in its environment. Some living things blend into their surroundings to hide from predators, while others develop sharp claws or long roots to help them find food and water. Plants and animals adapt in amazing ways to meet life's challenges, from the desert's heat to the ocean's cold depths. Using clear, straightforward language, this book explores how adaptations help living things thrive all over the planet.
