A History of Middle Eastern Theologies

It is not often appreciated that as well as being the geographical origin of three major religious traditions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam - the Middle East has also been the scene of the continuous co-existence and mutual interaction between the believers of these three traditions until today. This book traces the development of the theologies - the systematic reflections on such themes as God, the universe, and humanity, of all three traditions in a Middle Eastern context from the rise of Islam to today.
