Fresh spring water

Fashion show. Every Sunday morning there was a fashion show in our village. In addition to the dresses that were fashionable at the time, some women also wore feathered hats. I don't necessarily want to say that some of the ladies looked like parrots, but they did emphasize their femininity in a very colorful way. In any case, this weekly performance irritated me and I couldn't really concentrate on the service. We suspected it. The show took place in the church during the Sunday service in the pews. Oh well, thought some reverent men who looked down from the gallery. If it weren't for this splendor of colors, then some men would have fallen asleep during the sermon before the finale. What saying did I hear recently: "The sermons aren't what they used to be, I can't even fall asleep anymore." But the chic women drew attention to themselves and motivated many a man to go to church before the morning pint. If the smart women hadn't been there, most of the men in the gallery would only have been startled by the full toll of the church clock. Genesis 2:21 During haymaking, we often had to act quickly. As soon as the grass was mown in the meadows, it dried quickly and had to be turned several times. Agricultural machinery manufacturers were constantly bringing new models of hay turners onto the market. We had a so-called spider. When coupled to the tractor, this device turned the hay, or with a further setting, it could form swaths of hay. When the hay was dry, we could load it onto a wagon and drive it into the barn. Before we had a loading wagon with a pickup, the hay was loaded with pitchforks. Two men were busy loading the hay in the meadow. Women raked the remaining stalks together and loaded them onto the wagon as well. If there hadn't been a thunderstorm approaching, the haymaking would have been a harmonious picture.
