The Codex Brucianus is a translation of an ancient Gnostic work from the sixth century and was brought to England from Upper Egypt and donated to the Bodleian Library in Oxford. This book is a very beautiful Gnostic work and should be read by anyone interested in experiencing the divine Gnosis of God.

F. Lamplugh translated this text from Amelineau's French version, which appeared in 1892. He was praised for presenting an English version that reflected the spiritual aspects of Gnosticism. Both he and Charlotte Baynes (who produced the definitive English version in 1933) acknowledged their debt to G.R.S. Mead.
R.A. Gilbert is an esoteric scholar and antiquarian bookseller who lives in Bristol, England.
