"Rainbow Technology" is a flexible whole-school resource for National Curriculum Design and Technology at Key Stages 1 and 2 across the whole primary age range and is related to key primary themes - food, buildings, machnines, transport, environment and cover-up intended for dual use by children and teachers. It consists of three components: 36 four-sided cards, photocopiable techniques masters which offer practical ideas for skills in designing and making and this straightforward teacher's guide. Together, the three components aim to provide a workable framework for delivering broad, balanced and relevant programmes of study to meet the attainment targets, in the form of practical ideas for everyday classroom use.
