Description
We are pleased to have contributed again this year to The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Corporate Investigations 2020. The guide is a useful point of reference when reviewing and comparing common issues in investigations across multiple jurisdictions.
This year, the guide contains four general and 28 jurisdiction chapters including new chapters for Hong Kong, Japan and the Czech Republic. Our general chapter, France's CJIP Guidelines Leave Little Doubt That France Will be an Active Player in Global Anti-Corruption Enforcement, considers the French anti-corruption enforcement landscape since Sapin II came into force, the emerging similarities and differences between French, UK and U.S. deferred prosecution agreements and developing global enforcement trends.
Rahman Ravelli's chapter on Bribery and Corruption: Investigations and Negotiations Across Jurisdictions considers historical legislation on bribery and significant legal changes since the Bribery Act 2010. Guidehouse has written a chapter on the benefits of leveraging artificial intelligence to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of an investigative process and Nyman Gibson Miralis has provided an Asia Pacific overview.
