German Dictionary

The third edition of the "Collins German Dictionary" has been updated and revised to include the vocabulary of current issues - ageism, animatronics, CJD, infomercial, Ofwat - and also gives full details of all the German spelling reforms introduced in 1996. The "Language in Use" section has been reworked using corpus-based examples. Its new layout makes this practical guide easier to consult and is now linked to the dictionary text with user-friendly symbols in the margins. This approach allows the user to navigate directly from the work in the dictionary text to further means of expression in the central section. This edition includes a cassette giving clear instruction on the pronunciation of German. Recorded by native speakers of German, it demonstrates the ideal way to achieve a perfect German accent.
