Description
Lisa Thomas made a remarkable recovery after she was kidnapped and raped when she was sixteen. She became a deputy sheriff, married young, and was very much in love with her husband, Mack, who was also a deputy sheriff. They left the sheriff's office and formed their own private detective agency.
Then one fateful day they took on a case that brought Lisa face to face with one of the men who raped her. She did her best to deal with it, but seeing him brought back all the memories of those days of constant terror and the torture that was rape. That began her quest to find a refuge from her haunting memories.
It set Lisa off on a course she never intended to take, as she took on a second life. She stopped sharing who she was as she searched for answers to the question now foremost in her mind. Who was she? Trying to find the answer to that question, she nearly lost her life with Mack, and came even closer to losing her life.
