Ken Gelder is Professor of Literary Studies at The University of Melbourne. His previous books include The Anthology of Colonial Australian Gothic Fiction (MUP, 2007) and The Anthology of Colonial Australian Crime Fiction (MUP, 2008). He is also co-author, with Jane M. Jacobs, of Uncanny Australia: Sacredness and Identity in a Postcolonial Nation (MUP, 1998). Paul Salzman is Associate Professor of English Literature at La Trobe University. His previous books include Literary Culture in Jacobean England: Reading 1621 (2002) and Reading Early Modern Women's Writing (2007). He is the co-author, with Ken Gelder, of The New Diversity: Australian Fiction 1970-1988.
