Birgit Zinner

Das Kunstbuch "Birgit Zinner. Kunst mit Wesen", ist ein Kunstwerk, das die Künstlerin Birgit Zinner gemeinsam mit ihren Brüdern Johannes (Fotografie) und Matthäus (Grafik) in dem für ihre Arbeit typischen iterativen Verfahren gestaltet hat und das sie als Teil ihres seit 1986 entwickelndem Gesamtkunstwerks versteht. Es zeigt beispielhafte Arbeiten und ist selbstreferenziell Beispiel für ihre Arbeit.
Inhaltlich und formal sind das Bildmaterial und die Texte der fünf AutorInnen eng miteinander verschränkt und ranken sich um die Frage der Beziehung und der Identität von Kunstwerk, Künstlerin und Rezipienten. "In der Begegnung mit abstrakter Kunst ist der Mensch weder selbst Kunst, noch autonom schaffendes Subjekt, noch bloß außenstehender Betrachter, sondern steht quer zur Kunst, wird von dieser als Ausgeschlossenes eingeschlossen." The art book "Birgit Zinner: Being with Art" is a work of art that the artist Birgit Zinner, together with her brothers Johannes (photography) and Matthäus (graphic), created in an iterative process typical of her work and which she understands and has been developing as part of her Gesamtkunstwerk since 1986. The publication shows works in an exemplary way and is at the same time a self-referential example of her work.

Contentwise and formally, the pictorial material and the texts of the five authors are closely interlinked and entwine around the question of the relationality and the identity of artwork, artist and recipient.
