Mythos als Wissensform

Konrad von Würzburg's 'Trojan War' pioneered a new pathway for vernacular mythography at the end of the 13th century. For the first time, this study systematically explores the poetic processes that effected this epistemic transformation in the narrative of myth. The author develops a model for analyzing the literary production of knowledge that is at once open to historicizing approaches and useful for general research about knowledge.
 
Der 'Trojanerkrieg' Konrads von Würzburg bahnt Ende des 13. Jahrhunderts neue Wege der volkssprachlichen Mythographie. Die Studie untersucht erstmals umfassend die poetischen Verfahren, die diese epistemischen Transformationen des Mythenerzählens bewirken. Hierzu wird ein Modell für die Analyse literarischer Wissensproduktion entwickelt, das zugleich historisierbar und anschlussfähig für allgemeine Wissensforschung ist.
