Description
The "World Languages Project" has been developed by a team from North Westminster Community School to accommodate the increasing consciousness of the wealth of community languages in Britain. The course includes geo-political information, comparisons of languages, etymology and influences on English and language skills and concepts. It contains a substantial amount of guided activities for the pupil in self-contained units and forms the basis of a variety of language courses in the first three years of the secondary school curriculum. This teacher's book includes a tape and "photocopiable" materials and provides additional information on the languages covered, a key to the exercises and tape scripts, further extension work, and suggestions for projects of interest.
