(Location:Southampton) read medicine at Cambridge and St Mary's, London, qualifying in 1954. He embarked initially on a career in Medicine, Neurology and ultimately Neurosurgery. His interest in photography developed as a medical student and his major interest in war graves began in the early '70s, the subject being most fitting for black and white photography. Exhibitions of his War Grave photographs have been held in London, Winchester, Southampton and Brussels. An exhibition of his photographs was held at the Camden Art Centre, London.
