The Wind on the Heath

Tom Gallacher was best known as a playwright until the publication of his short stories, "Apprentice", which won a 1983 Scottish Arts Council award. His greatest achievements in the theatre were the three plays "Mr Joyce is Leaving Paris", "Schellenbrack" and "Revival".
