Description
A pioneer of feminism, Virginia Woolf is considered one of the great literary figures of the 20th century. England, March 1941. Virginia Woolf walks along the banks of the River Ouse. She picks up a stone from the ground, weighs it in the palm of her hand, and watches the flow of water. She thinks of the fierce battle going on in the world and within her. Everything that accompanied her to that shore shines in images that represent the great strength of her feelings, such as her passion for her lover Vita Sackville-West, her tenderness for her husband Leonard, and her pain because of the terrible family mourning. Those feelings, which she poured into her works, revolutionizing literature and elevating her as one of the most important writers of all time.
