Hal Fulton has been programming with Ruby since its earliest incarnation in 1999, and is author of the best-selling Ruby guide The Ruby Way, which was the second Ruby book published in the English language. He has attended and presented at numerous Ruby conferences. Fulton holds two degrees in computer science from the University of Mississippi, and taught computer science for four years before moving to Austin, Texas to work as a contractor for various companies, including IBM. He maintains the comp.lang.ruby FAQ, recently spoke at Addison-Wesley's Professional Ruby Conference, and is a member of both the ACM and the IEEE Computer Society.
