Rorie is a partner (with Kate) in Open Cultures Consultancy, specialising in inclusion, learning disability issues and communication. In addition, Rorie works for a non-governmental organisation supporting asylum seekers and refugees in Wales. He also volunteers for a learning disabilities advocacy service and is a trustee on the board of a mental health advocacy service. Kate is a specialist speech and language therapist working with adults with learning disabilities. Prior to training as a speech and language therapist she worked in the voluntary sector with women from black and minority ethnic (BME) communities and she has experience of advocating for this client group. In addition Kate works as a registered Intermediary on behalf of adults with learning disabilities appearing as victims and/or witnesses in the criminal justice system.
